NYFW S/S 2013 is now in full swing and although I’m currently back home in FL, I’m thrilled I had the opportunity to be there again for my 4th season at Lincoln Center. Since this past week has been so hectic, I’ll continue to replay and update y’all on my outfits/shows I attended day by day. It was super hot the first few days in NYC, so pardon my excess use of buns during this trip. As I mentioned in my previous post HERE, I scored these uh-mazing boyfriend jeans at Levis during LuckyFABB Day 2. I clearly couldn’t wait to rock them, so I prepped a quick outfit switch and paired the slub jeans with a navy H&M blazer, basic white shirt, leopard pumps, and a new London Fog croc purse in hunter green. I’ve honestly never been a huge fan of hunter green, but I’m really digging it for fall this year. Within a week I bought a purse, blouse, and ring all in this luxurious hue…obsessed much?
Just a little side note about boyfriend jeans: most people, including myself, are intimidated by boyfriend jeans and are unsure how to go about finding the right fit for them. I’d strongly suggest asking a sales rep at your fave local jean shop to walk you through how to find your perfect fit. Don’t feel silly, they’re there to help you and having an expert opinion will go a long way. I’ve tried on bf jeans previously to this trip with no luck until a Levis personal consultant literally guided me through the shopping experience and now I have a fab pair of jeans I can dress up or wear on casual days.
1. Don’t be afraid to go up a size – remember, they’re supposed to be baggy
2. Wear them extra low on your hips – this will help you achieve that ‘slub’ look
