Denim is such a year round fashion staple, however here in South Florida, it can be a tough fabric to pull off in the dead of summer. Alas, I’ve found the perfect solution with Express – the Jean Jacket! I used to rock a jean jacket or two back in my high school days on the regular, but this cool piece has been making a come back these last couple years and is a great way to incorporate denim into your summer wardrobe! I love the added layer of texture, plus it’s perfect for covering up your shoulders as you enter any indoor spaces {you Miamians know what I’m talking about…blazing hot outside, arctic AC freeze inside. Haha}.

For this little ensemble, I’ve paired a super simple cotton dress {love the boho layers + babydoll shape} with a medium wash denim jacket. Adding a little pop of color with the cobalt crossbody + subtle matchy matchy sunnies, along with a black wedge. Which can I just talk about these wedges for a moment…incredible. I’m shocked how comfy they are – total new summer fave {pssst. they also come in cognac}!
