Firstly, I must apologize for my lack of posts recently! As you can imagine things have been quite hectic prepping for IFBCon, LuckyFABB, && Mercedes Benz NY Fashion Week – not that I’m complaining! I’m beyond thrilled to be here in NYC for these fabulous events and in such great {and fashionable} company!
Yesterday I attended IFBCon 2012 {Independent Fashion Bloggers Conference} for the first time and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to rock my new ‘Marshalls Fall Style Challenge’ look! Let’s be honest, when you’re in NYC you always want to look your best, but when you’re in NYC mingling with some of THE MOST fashionable, trend setting, and influential gals in the fashion industry you really want to take it up a notch {while staying true to your personal style, of course}. When Marshalls {in partnership with Lucky Magazine} asked me to partake in their Fall Style Challenge I was so excited. Who doesn’t love shopping on a budget?! And with designer pieces for less, you can’t go wrong. I was challenged to put together an outfit for under $100, while keeping this season’s fall trends in mind. When I think of fall it’s all about the transition of color. I picture warm, soft hues such as burnt orange, brown, burgundy, cream, hunter green, etc. It’s almost like comfort food! With that in mind I fell in love with these adorable burgundy ankle pants. It’s a piece that’s perfect for Fall 2012 and something I can easily incorporate into my work attire. I paired them with this feminine, lace peplum and classic suede wedges {clearly with comfort in mind} and a dark burgundy lip to pull the look together.
p.s. Stay tuned for an exciting giveaway SOON! {it may or may not be with a mentionable above} 😉
Make sure you follow me on Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook for the live play-by-play of this week’s festivities!
