‘a bit of vintage’ suitcase collection c/o Kipling
Who’s already got their mind on Thanksgiving travel?! {insert hand raise emoji over here}. The idea of traveling from one place to another has evolved exponentially over the decades. What was once considered a glamorous, somewhat unattainable activity, has now become quite common for most. Lucky us! To pay homage to a time perhaps forgotten, interior designer David Bromstad collaborated with Kipling to create a luggage line inspired by the ‘golden age of travel’. A time when ladies + gents dressed up for the traveling occasion {and I don’t mean in Lululemon + Converse} – hence the throwback styled look I have going on today. A little over accessorized + matchy matchy. I couldn’t resist a good ‘ol homage to the 50’s-60’s fashion era.
One thing does seem to remain a constant throughout travel trends…the need for practical luggage. The ‘a bit of vintage’ collection {my personal fave, if you couldn’t tell} not only provides practicality, but also a bit of flare. I’m sorry, but who could resist not being just a tad excited about picking up one of these pretties off the baggage carousel?!
