Up next on the MSC Cruises tour…España! The Preziosa {one of the largest ships in the MSC fleet} sailed to Palma de Mallorca + Valencia during our week long voyage. Unfortunately Ashley was feeling a bit under the weather during our day in Palma {guess that gives me even more reason to visit again!}, so we took a ‘day off’ on our luxe boat and relaxed. Not too shabby if you ask me.
It can be so overwhelming to select the best off-shore activity to commit to – on your one day off the boat, in a new place, no less. I don’t know about y’all, but it kind of gives me FOMO. What if I don’t pick the right one or something?! I know it sounds crazy, but hopefully one of you can relate. Anyhow, Valencia made a great first impression. We opted for the San Jose underground cave tour for the day. The longest cave river in the world. Pretty crazy, right?! In a way it somewhat reminded me of ‘it’s a small world’ at Disney World…but without a track. Group size boats with a guide in the rear, steering through crystal clear, still water, underneath hanging jagged pieces of ancient stone. I’ll admit, I’ve been on several other cave tours {Colorado, northern Florida}, but this one was actually one I’d recommend.
Half a day in a new city barley scratches the surface, but we sure had a fun day doing it!
