This past week we received quite the cold front in South Florida. Ok, so high of 57 really is chilly for us Floridians. Plus, this particular day the wind was in full force {always great for a shoot day…}, so it was the perfect {and rare} occasion for me to bring out the winter coats.

I felt like I hit the jackpot back in December when I discovered this gem while on a shopping visit to the French Connection flagship store in SoHo. I was aimlessly wondering around the store, trying on a ba-jillion black coats in search of the perfect one. I saw this pretty hanging on the rack, but thought it was a bit too bulky for an ‘everyday’ coat with the faux-fur collar and all. But after I failed to find another coat I couldn’t live without, I figured I’d at least try it on. And low-and-beyond, the fur collar was detachable! Hallelujah hallelujah, I’ve found the perfect coat. It was one of those shopping days where I left the store so freakin excited, I decided to debut the darn thing right on the streets of NYC!
