Beauty – Living In Color Print http://livingincolorprint.com Personal Fashion + Lifestyle Blog by Kristin Clark Mon, 09 May 2016 14:02:42 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://wordpress.org/?v=4.5.2 Fresh Color for Spring http://livingincolorprint.com/fresh-color-for-spring/ http://livingincolorprint.com/fresh-color-for-spring/#comments Tue, 12 Apr 2016 09:00:30 +0000 http://livingincolorprint.com/?p=16129 Who doesn’t love a good color change + fresh face to kick-start a new season?! And even more-so when that color comes from Burt’s Bees®! Am I right? I had the opportunity to try out a slue of Burt’s Bees® Lipstick hues {14 to be exact}, along with their new BB Cream formula, and although it was tough to narrow down, I wanted to share my TOP 4 with y’all!

To begin my fresh spring look, I applied Burt’s Bees® ‘Light’ BB Cream with an EcoTools® Skin Perfecting Brush {they’ve become my instant fave since my LAST GO AROUND}. The straight dense bristles are specifically designed to smoothly and evenly apply the BB Cream, and the rounded edge of the brush is ideal for precise coverage around the eyes and nose. EcoTools® products are available at Walmart in the Cosmetic Accessories section in store. Their brushes are so silky soft, and a great pairing for creams + powders alike.

From a fresh base, on to lips {my personal favorite to play around with}. From Nile Nude, to Sunset Cruise coral, to Scarlet Soaked bright red – Burt’s Bees® latest lipstick hues are on point. And the formula is perfection – literally like butter, but long-lasting, moisturizing and surprisingly very pigmented. Check out Burt’s Bees® products available in the Natural Beauty section of Walmart.

Sooooo…what’s y’all’s favorite color for the collection?!

Fresh Face http://livingincolorprint.com/dermalogica-charcoal-rescue-mask-review/ http://livingincolorprint.com/dermalogica-charcoal-rescue-mask-review/#respond Fri, 08 Apr 2016 16:35:45 +0000 http://livingincolorprint.com/?p=16109 Dermalogica Product c/o: Charcoal Rescue Masque | Daily Microfoliant | Intensive Eye Repair | Hydrablur PrimerRedness Relief Primer | Daily Resurfacer | Concealing Spot Treatment

As women, I think we’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest options in skincare. I know I’m included in that group! I think it’s especially important to take a closer look at beauty routines during season transitions, as the weather can have a huge impact on your skins’ complex. One brand that has never ceased to disappoint is Dermalogica. Not only have I personally found their formulas to be of the utmost premium quality, every. single. makeup artists I work with raves about their brilliance in skincare! You know it’s got to be good when the pros use it themselves.

Naturally, I jumped at the opportunity to try out their newest product release – the Charcoal Rescue Masque. I’ll admit, I’m usually more of a sheet-mask girl {because, let’s be honest – sometimes I’m lazy}, but I try to set a Sunday night routine where I cater to my skin and amp up my regiment that evening. Nothing better than lounging on the couch, watching TV {who else can’t wait until the Sunday night return of Game of Thrones?!} + trying out new skincare. Sterling even gets in on the action from time to time! Haha. My first impression of the Charcoal Rescue Masque was the consistency – creamy + surprisingly light feeling on the skin, despite its’ ingredient-rich formula. The masque left my skin silky, soft + fully rejuvenated – perfect way to start a new week! I also had the opportunity to try out a few of their other new {+ highly recommend by my makeup artist} products, along with an official Dermalogica skin treatment at a local spa location. Talk about heavenlyyyy…I’m already plotting another session with the Esthetician upon my return from our honeymoon! Use code ‘KRISTIN’ on Dermalogica.com for 20% off your purchase {first 50 shoppers only}.

Have y’all tried Dermalogica?! If so, let me know some of your favorite products – would love to try ’em out!

Lip Hydration in Miami http://livingincolorprint.com/lip-hydration-in-miami/ http://livingincolorprint.com/lip-hydration-in-miami/#comments Fri, 18 Mar 2016 09:00:23 +0000 http://livingincolorprint.com/?p=15928

Y’all may remember me sharing Vaseline’s newest Lip Therapy Tins campaign a few weeks back. Since then I’ve been using my tin collection religiously in an effort to test their theory that the formula works in every climate. Well, I’m here to report – the claim seems to be correct! As far as I can tell {here in Miami}, my lips have been ultra moisturized {more-so than they have been in the past}, and I’m loving it. I know some of you may be thinking, summer is around the corner, why would I need to focus on lip moisture in warmer temps, but maintaining healthy lips should be part of your year-round routine! My personal fave would be the aloe blend, but they’re all pretty rad.

Have any of y’all tried the new Lip Therapy Tins yet?! Any thoughts on your experience?

Get That Glam http://livingincolorprint.com/get-that-glam/ http://livingincolorprint.com/get-that-glam/#comments Thu, 10 Mar 2016 12:49:30 +0000 http://livingincolorprint.com/?p=15858 I don’t know about diamonds, but I can say with certainty that mascara is a girl’s best friend. There’s nothing like witnessing the eye-pop a good mascara creates. So when I was given the opportunity to team up with COVERGIRL to try out their latest mascara formula – COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara – I was all hands on deck!

I love playing with new beauty products {I mean, what girl doesn’t}, and it’s even better when they’re super affordable. COVERGIRL’s newest addition to their never-ending family of lash products is one I would re-purchase in the future. The curved/swirl–like brush allows every lash to receive an ample amount of product. You can clearly see the difference in the third image above, showing my left eye with 2 coats of COVERGIRL Plumpify Mascara, and the right eye au naturel. I typically like to layer my mascara {2-3 coats depending on the occasion} and I like how this formula builds well without clotting or becoming chunky. Definitely a product to add to your next drugstore haul!

Growing up in Colorado, finding decent lip products to keep my pout healthy was always a challenge. Trust me. So when I was given the opportunity to try out Vaseline‘s new Lip Therapy Tins, I was game! The tins just came to the US from the UK and claim to help keep lips moisturized in any region that you’re in. I’m putting that theory to the test over the next two weeks here in South Florida, and will share my findings with y’all then!

New Beauty Favorites http://livingincolorprint.com/dove-dry-spray-deodorant-review/ http://livingincolorprint.com/dove-dry-spray-deodorant-review/#respond Sun, 07 Feb 2016 22:44:48 +0000 http://livingincolorprint.com/?p=15560
Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant c/o | Nails: Coral, Mint + Lilac

A new season, calls for a few new beauty additions to the vanity. I’ve typically been a deodorant stick gal, but recently had the opportunity to take the #TryDry challenge with Dove. I’ll admit, I was a bit skeptical at first because several sprays I’ve tried in the past didn’t seem to work too well. Dove Dry Spray Antiperspirant is a total game changer. It goes on smooth {and not cold like a few sprays I’ve tried in the past}, dries instantly, keeps your skin super silky + literally lasts up to 48 hours! Not to mention it smells yummy. I’ve actually been using Dove’s cucumber scent for years, so it was perfect to still have that same scent, just in a different form. I’ve found the Dry Spray to be particularly useful at the gym – since it goes on so quickly and doesn’t leave any residue behind it’s a perfect fit for your workout bag.

Do tell…what are your thoughts on Dove Dry Spray? Have you tried it?
